If you’re going to Follow the Falconers, you probably should know a bit more about who we are.
We’re a family of seven who all give different answers to the question, where are you from? Scott & Bek consider themselves Australian, although Scott’s retained some aspects of his Irish childhood – he loves to tell a story and slips back into an Irish accent when around friends and family from the Mother country. The kids, well, they consider themselves differing levels of Australian, Mozambican, Irish and South African (one was born there), depending on their age and what day you ask them!
We live in rural Mozambique. Think mountains, bush, baboons, dusty winters and muddy summers, unfailingly hospitable people, dirt roads, fluctuating electricity. It’s pretty amazing.
We love living life with people. We love to spend time, listen, play, talk. If you need to cry or laugh, we’ll be there.
We love God.
We love do chaos. Life is loud, relaxed, messy, flexible, spontaneous. Our home is your home, our food your food. Want to join us at any time? You’re always welcome, just step over whatever mess you find and make yourself at home!
We love stories. Your stories, our stories, others’ stories, God’s story. They are all important to us.
